It was the most difficult time of our lives when we lost our beloved son Nevis. He was just 24 years old with dreams and aspirations. When the doctors declared him brain dead, we were devastated beyond words. However, ‘Mrithasanjeevani’ helped us see a ray of hope in that darkness. They explained to us about organ donation and how Nevis could save many lives even after his death through this noble act.

Though it was an extremely hard decision, ‘Mrithasanjeevani’ supported us through every step of the process. They ensured we understood what organ donation entailed and comforted us during those traumatic times. When Nevis’ organs were matched to recipients, they kept us updated and helped arrange meetings with the recipients after the transplant.

Meeting the organ recipients of our son has helped fill the void in our lives in a way we never imagined. The relationship we share with them is beyond words. They are not just organ recipients but an integral part of our family now. We talk to most of them every day, meet them often and celebrate all occasions together. This bond has given us a reason to live again. We are forever indebted to KNOS for facilitating this and helping us find purpose and meaning in life once more.

KNOS has been with us every step of the way, right from counselling us about organ donation to helping us start an NGO in our son’s memory. They have given us hope, support and a new family. No amount of words can express our gratitude for ‘Mrithasanjeevani’. They made the ultimate gift of life possible and helped us heal in the process. Our son lives on in the lives he saved, and we live for the smiles we can bring to their faces. That is the precious gift ‘Mrithasanjeevani’ has given us. We owe you our lives.
